I got a kick out of watching people look at me and and the purse. I would smile at them and boom they'd quickly looked away, funny stuff...
I eitherw hold or carry my wife's purse regularly. When people look at me, I simply say, "Oops, I'm sorry, but it doesn't match my boots today." That usually adds levity to the situation, and almost Lways gets a huge smile.

As I may have posted before, my wife has very severe arthritis. At times it is bad enough to cause issues with walking, and on those occasions, she doesn't need anything to worry about but the task at hand. Does it make me less a man to carry her purse? Does it bother me? Not in the least. I'll even do it while wearing a pink shirt!!!
Did you mean to post this in the Ladies Only section? :smilelol5:

Didn't even notice until we went to eat, good thing my wife had her ID's, so from there on she drove, carried the pistol, and paid for lunch.

It happens.
See, what you do is, you have your wife hold your hand, so if anyone asks why you're carrying a gun, you just tell them your wife's carrying them both, and you're the purse. :biggrinjester:
Getting arrested might be a less embarrassing option. :smilelol5:

I don't think that is true.

Think about it. If you were driving and didn't have your DL. It doesn't mean you are not licensed.

Not having proof of insurance in your car doesn't mean you are not insured.
The penal code is different than the transportation code.
So is the Health and Safety Code.

In practice, if you're lucky the DA will cut you some slack. If you're really lucky the cop will cut you some slack.

IANAL, but as I understand there is no penalty. However you might be subject to questions and additional scrutiny by the LEO who has requested your ID.
