My range allows drawing from the holster. That is one of the reasons I joined that particular range.
I can only guess that other ranges are worried about the liability and publicity of people shooting themselves or others while drawing.
Of course, there will always be some yo-yo trying to fast draw and shooting themselves in the leg or foot.

Proper practice using paper targets has a lot of value. If you can't hit a stationary target, you won't be able to hit a moving target while under stress. Professional athletes exercise, have weight training, review play books, run practice drills, etc. - all of them are valuable for the "real game."MaxBerlin wrote:I am tired of shooting paper targets and would like to go to a place where I can practice multiple targets while I move through them.
