It was not my intent, or the other posters, to bash the OP. I believe that all of us were just trying to help him out by offering some constructive criticism.

:iagree: IMO, the letter is too long and would not be read by senators or other people who do not know you personally. Your letter has enough information and topics for a long magazine article or a 2nd amendment pamphlet, but that is too much for a general audience.

My suggest is that you stick to one major premise and then back it up with examples and facts. One guideline is 250 words or less - the same limit as many newspapers allow for "letters to the editor". :tiphat:
