It was not my intent, or the other posters, to bash the OP. I believe that all of us were just trying to help him out by offering some constructive criticism.

IMO, the letter is too long and would not be read by senators or other people who do not know you personally. Your letter has enough information and topics for a long magazine article or a 2nd amendment pamphlet, but that is too much for a general audience.

My suggest is that you stick to one major premise and then back it up with examples and facts. One guideline is 250 words or less - the same limit as many newspapers allow for "letters to the editor".
