This reminds me of a story a friend told me a couple months ago. She was riding to work in a vanpool and the van had a flat tire. A couple of people got out to change the tire and were stopped by the police. The LEO told them it was too dangerous and ordered them back in the van to wait until the "professionals" came to fix it. She thought it was rather ironic that most of the people in the vanpool were mechanical engineers. :lol:

Since it happened in California, I am sure that none of the witnesses were armed with a handgun. Since, I wonder why no one helped the exhausted deputy?
