Assault of the daughter perhaps, but who is to say the father did not feel threatened himself now, and was defending himself against the assault.. Only two folks know that answer,, One is dead, the other will tell his side to some folks who will decide.
He was already no billed but it's still smart to decline requests for interviews.
:iagree: IMO, interviews could do him harm and no good would come from them.

The little girl will suffer from both the trauma of the original attack and having her father kill the attacker.

Seeing as sexual assault is specifically listed as one of the crimes where deadly force is presumed justified, it would be hard to see this getting charged.
PC §9.32. DEADLY FORCE IN DEFENSE OF PERSON. (a) A
person is justified in using deadly force against another:
(1) if the actor would be justified in using force against the other under Section 9.31; and
(2) when and to the degree the actor reasonably believes the deadly force is immediately necessary:
(A) to protect the actor against the other's use or attempted use of unlawful deadly force; or
(B) to prevent the other's imminent commission of aggravated kidnapping, murder, sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault, robbery, or aggravated robbery.
:iagree: I just heard a discussion of this on the Outlaw Dave radio show. Of course we don't have all of the details. IMO if this was a case of sexual assault the use of deadly force is legally and morally justified.
