As one who is seriously constrained from carrying for the major part of the week, protecting any firearm inside a vehicle is paramount for me. Of course, our currently broken society makes it necessary....
The reason the gun was stolen is because a thief stole it. I seriously doubt that the thief decided "it rightfully belonged to them". If he did, then maybe he could have an insanity defense.
