I am just suggesting that carrying around a piece of ID that you don't need isn't a good idea as it might get lost. Sort of like carrying your passport every day when you aren't planning to leave the country. Nothing sinister.

I know several people who carry them on their person and can't understand why. One time, I was asked by a bank teller to see my SS Card. I told him that it was at home in the safe. He acted like he was surprised that I didn't keep it on me. I asked him if he kept his card on him and he stated that he kept it in his wallet. I asked him why and he asked, "aren't you supposed to keep it with you all the time?"

Don't you think it's ironic that the only time you get to show your CHL is when you buy a new gun or when you get pulled over by the police?
