Unique _WAS_ an amazing pistol powder. Back in the '70's. When there were fewer alternatives. Used it for .357 and .45acp using a lee dipper set, and later an RCBS little dandy powder measure. Dumped it in the 1980's for WW231 which metered better (ball powder) and produced less smoke. Somewhere around 2000, dumped 231 for Hogdon TiteGroup as it was the 'goto' for .40s&w in the STI Edge and SVI Infinity in USPSA. Subjectively, the TiteGroup did seem to burn cleaner than 231 in the indoor range......
