Finally, another Facebook reader, Terry Holcomb, Sr., posted the photo above and wrote, “So… Dr. Brian Babin breaks his campaign promise and his word on his very first vote. I will make sure to have that discussion with him when I see him.”

Somewhere between East Texas and Washington, DC, Dr. Babin’s “loud and clear message” appears to have been forgotten.
Following the "Present" vote Babin.
It is clear that a sub-committee chairmanship is more important to the gentle congressman than doing what is right by his district.

Babin was sworn in and took an oath to uphold the Constitution. A condition of accepting the office. This goes for all of the Constitution and it is expected hat he follow and comply to that oath of office. But, he also ran as Tea Party Conservative and completely ignored those that elected him by voting "present". Instead he parlayed that initial vote for a committee Chairmanship given to him by Boehner. Pretty "self-serving"and against the values he campaigned on. If you want to accept that somehow its alright to lie and deceive those that elected him to office just because he's following his oath of office then you'll never understand the problem I and many others have with him.

I'll take that as a "no".
