Re: Almost went to jail!!!

As it stands now it serves as fair warning to OC people that if they come in exposing their sidearms, they will be asked to leave or cover up. A real 30.07 is a demand with possible action on the penal code. No sign at all could result in embarrassment to the unaware of those not knowing Freebirds policy.
:iagree:
As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

IF the law is not enforced on these non-compliant signs, then they can just stick up anything in the window like this one.
Out of curiosity, exactly which laws need enforcing here?

There are almost 1.8 million small businesses alone here in the State of Texas. When you stop and consider there has been virtually no direction from the legislature or DPS on how to properly handle OC, the overwhelming majority of these businesses have no clue what to due or where to get the proper signs.
What? Resources are everywhere.

It's not difficult to put up a compliant sign.
Maybe they don't want to clutter up their entrance with the required signing in English and Spanish. While the sign is not compliant for 30.07, I would not walk past it because I know I would be asked to cover up or leave... I don't have a problem at all with that.

Any honest Joe who misses the non-compliant sign (or claims to) is protected in a court of law so long as they departed or concealed when asked (and didn't argue).
The poster I referenced didn't say anything about size or clutter.
Apologies, TVGuy, I was not directly addressing anyone in particular. I just quoted your post to provide the context of my $0.02, which in this case is the Freebirds photo.
