Re: BOUNTY HUNTERS
Trust me, they would have had to produce proper paper work and IDs before he would have opened his door. As for the dogs, the previous owners of the property raised Collies, there are kennels with chain link walls and concrete floors he could have secured the dogs with. He also would have kept a bubble around his personal space and he is very fond of his 1911 and M2.......they go where he goes (as I said he is a retired Marine). Knowing him, he probably called one of his close (in proximity) friends to come over before he let anyone in his home.

Re: BOUNTY HUNTERS
What is ironic is that my friend is pro LE. If they had ID themselves and asked politely he would have let them search his home and his out buildings. As I said, he has never heard or seen this fugitive. The BHs acted as they had all the authority in the world for them to have their way. The BHs disappeared when he said he was calling the Sheriff. They had parked a vehicle out of sight, but as they drove off he thinks it had AZ plates.

Re: BOUNTY HUNTERS
I don't know what info he took down. His dogs are his "babies" so God bless them if they harm one.

Re: BOUNTY HUNTERS
The gate was closed ( not locked though)and they opened it. He is going to put one of those automated gate openers on the gate, and put an intercom at the gate. He was told it would then be considered the entrance to his home. I don't know where he obtained his advice.(attorney, internet friend, ? ). The BBs were not as polite as the "dog" and they were armed he says. He is also going to install security cameras.

Re: BOUNTY HUNTERS
He is making arrangement to enclose his front area so the dogs can roam. We aren't use to asking for help. 911 may be called to send the coroner. If they can't get it right or at least be polite and not act like storm troopers.......then that's their problem.

Re: BOUNTY HUNTERS
Never heard of the fugitive before the other morning......the BBs went to a bogus address. My friend will stack up the Bail Bondsmen like cord wood if they every try their tactics again.......he is POed. What responsibility do the BBs have to make sure they have a valid address? Remember the AZ Sheriff's incident?

Re: BOUNTY HUNTERS
He did his research. He posted per the laws of Texas. At all gates and every 50' if I remember correctly. They even opened a marked gate to get in.

Re: BOUNTY HUNTERS
I wasn't there, so I have no idea what was offered in the way of ID. He was just wondering if they legally could ignore a no trespassing sign. According to him, they definitely insinuate they have all sorts of rights. Probably they were just trying to i intimidate him.....they chose the wrong retired jar head.

Re: BOUNTY HUNTERS
He spoke to them thru a locked (heavy security type screen) door. Good advice,However, as we both live in the country and it has always taken the Deputies about an hour to respond to what they consider a " non emergency" call. Just wondering if the no tresoass signs would apply to the bail enforcers......... but thanks.nightmare69 wrote:Next time tell your friend to not open the door for someone they don't know. Re: BOUNTY HUNTERS
I called the Sheriff's office after the fact, only to ask what a bail enforcers rights are.......the sheriff's office did not know .My friend says they were very aggressive. I'm just glad they did not try to shoot one of his babies (dogs) He would have started and ended WWIII.

BOUNTY HUNTERS
I had a fried called this morning asking if bounty hunters could ignore no trespassing signs. He was awakened early this morning by a pounding on his door. These people were demeaning to search his home, back yard and insinuated they would kill his dogs if need be. Someone must have given out his address falsely, as he has never heard of or seen this fugitive. He is legally posted. I called the Sheriff's, but they were of no help. The BHs are actually luck they didn't cross this guy anymore than they did. He is ready for bear.
