Actually once their in your custody - especially if you are detaining someone or ther safety, thy become your responsibility. A drunk bloodying his own nose and a suicidal kid using a gun missed on your search are very different.C-dub wrote:I don't think so. Now, I suppose a democrat would argue that it is the police officer's fault for putting them into the back of their patrol car in the first place and they should be responsible for what ever happened.
I doubt they will ultimately be held criminally responsible, but I'm sure that's a grievous policy violation.
