DEFINATELY call themjbenat wrote:Today is day 80!!!! Just checked DPS Online Service & guess what? I"M STILL PROCESSING APPLICATION!!!It wouldn't be so bad if wife unit (txbell on this forum) didn't get her's back in just 54 days. She's had hers for about a month now. Carrying is old hat to her now while I skulk around the house wearing my pistol in "play like mode". I'm beginning to feel a little silly. The good news is I have now memorized my drivers lisence number. Do you guys think I should call them or just sit and simmer?

In this ideal world there would be no criminals - and no need for guns...KBCraig wrote:Maybe this needs to be part of the '07 legislative agenda: DPS shall issue a license within 60 days of receipt of a properly completed application package, and if subsequent review reveals disqualifying information, the license will be revoked and the licensee must return the license.

Re: A watched mailbox.......
Once they are finished it will switch to say "Lincense activated" and some other important sounding stuff, which means they mailed it out. Once mine switched it took a day to get there. Seems like forever, but hang in there!Trainman wrote:The web site has the same old "Processing Application" constantly posted. I wonder if it is an accurate status or only a pacifier put there to prevent callers.
