But, this is a BIG nation with a lot of localities, counties, and even some states, that flat-out disagree with that stuff. Witness the NY State Sheriffs who said they would not waste any personnel enforcing the so-called SAFE Act. And that's in a grabber-friendly state. I'm sure I'll get told off about not knowing what I'm talking about, and that's fine, maybe I don't. But even California is full of unregistered "assault weapons", and I don't just mean the ones in the hands of gangs, but there isn't much the authorities there can do about it.
