If you just turn it off without removing the battery it will still ping the three closest towers, you can be triangulated with 10ft

If I recall correctly Australia was considered the country most like the United States, I guess not anymore but we are headed that way too!

My understanding is they crossed the land bridge and invaded North America from Asia during the last Ice Age!
I would cut them a little slack. They were on an extended hunting trip and got a little lost. I’ve done that before.
But I bet your descendants didn't populate an entire continent afterwards!
