I think stupidity comes with all levels of experience, meaning, you never fix stupid. Back in 80's I had just left a party of folks sitting around in a living room, which was lucky for me. Homeowner, ex cop, took out a revolver from the bedroom to show everyone -stupid move #1. Everyone in the room said he cocked the hammer, said "I always leave one chamber empty", pointed at floor and pulled the trigger - #2.
