Re: Guns that you REGRET selling or trading
I once had a S&W Model 624 .44 special In stainless steel. I stole it of a co worker for 250 bux. I tradeded it in some years later for my first Glock (G-23). Got 350 for it which I thought was good. But now I wish I'd kept the Smith and just paid the retail price for the G-23. I won't make a mi...

Re: CHL renewal windows...
That is about the quickest turnaround time I have heard of. I renewed in January and have been wondering if the new license apps were thrown in with the renewals and every one just waits it out together of if renewals are handled seperately. I now believe that the renewals are DEFINITELY handled sep...

Re: Processing of new CHL apps vs. Renewal apps
You may go through the renewal at any time within 6 months the expiration date of your current licens but no sooner. The way things are going these day it is a good idea to do it as early as possible. For example: If your birthday is on December 30th you should have your packet in Austin as shortly ...

Thanks for the reply Steve. Happy you FINALLY did get your license. I know, it's an agonizing wait but I believe it's worth it.

Processing of new CHL apps vs. Renewal apps
Here's a question I have not seen or heard discussed. I have just renewed my CHL and am waiting for it to arrive in the mail. When I check the status it says "Processing Application". The other day I wondered if the applications for new and renewed licenses are all lumped in together or ar...

Re: Elderly Ammunition
The longevity of any ammo is not about time. It is about the conditions under which the ammo is stored. I have ammo that dates back to Aug of '43 and it still shoots just fine. Ammunition should be stored in a climate controlled environment at ALL times. What kills ammo is moisture coming in contact...

Re: How secure is your safe?
That demonstration is a pretty onesided representation. I agree with the comment above that installation is a very important part in the quality of security of any safe. But I know that there is probably no such thing as the absolutely 100% secure safe. If some one wants in your safe and they have t...

Re: What's your favorite semi pocket pistol?
For me the baby glocks are just too big and heavy for pants pocket carry. I assume the OP was meaning pants pocket but didn't specify such. I have a couple of heavy jackets that I can carry my every day carry, my Glock-36. But getting back to the concept of pants pocket carry I've tried a few mouse ...

Re: Field and Stream: 50 best guns ever made
Lists are like opinions, everybody has one and, I don't agree with yours. "rlol" I must aree with my old friend MoJo. That list has more holes in it than my 50' target. :grumble I do happen to own a couple that made the list though. Ruger 10/22 and Ruger Blackhawk. But just as an example ...

Re: Is this Just me or....
I guess by deffinition that I have never had a hang fire. And the only mis fire I ever remember having is in a .22 rifle or pistol. I have fired thousands and thousands and thousands of center fire cartridges in all sorts of rifles and hand guns and never had a mis fire. But I do know it can happen....
