Miroku of Japan (Browning marked) made reproduction Winchester 1895s in 30-06 in the late 1990s and I believe into the early part of 2000s. They were 'centennial' rifles (1895-1995 for the model, and 1906-2006 for the cartridge). I believe (again) that these were marked up with NRA commemorative trim?? There are several new and slightly used Win 1895 30-06's on gunsamerica website - but expect to pay up over $1000.00 for em. The 308 marlin express in the Marlin might be as good a choice. Sure would be cheaper - plus, you can top mount a scope if so inclined.
