I have heard of this

The version I have heard of this problem was like this. Because of the 6 only magazine, owners of the G36 were taking a single round and inserting it in the barrel thru the ejection port, then inserting the magazine, so they have 7 rounds quick. Supposedly wears or breaks the ejector by doing it this way. Normal 'procedure' would be inserting a full magazine, rack/chamber a round, drop the magazine then add a round to top it off. Can happen on any Glock actually - supposedly just something about the way the round makes contact with the breech face and the ejector if the round is coming up from the magazine on the ramp as opposed to inserting a round thru the port.
