Re: "Waiting Room"
That's great news. A lot of ours changed on the 15th as well so maybe we can expect ours today..40X40 wrote:Submitted my paper work via snail mail 11/10, I called 12/14 to check the status of my application. I was told I was approved and awaiting print that would take 10-12 days. The website changed on 12/15, received plastic in hand today 12/16. I'm not sure if I would have gotten it any sooner if I submitted everything electronically. The whole process took just over a month which seems about par for now.

Re: "Waiting Room"
Try calling again tomorrow and talking to someone else. Unless something has popped up in your background that wasn't disclosed in your application, it should take no more than 60 days per state law. Not sure why you were told 90, could be someone's first day on the job.pramsay wrote:I was told that the DPS had my fingerprints and paperwork, just waiting to be processed and stated that it would take up to 90 days. I am new to all of this so I'm trying to gather as much information as I can so that I have at least some type of time frame to judge by. I wish that it were less time, but it is what it is.

It will look like thispramsay wrote:I wish that I knew where I could check the status of my CHL online. I tried one link, but the status never changes so I don't even know if it is the right place. The link that I am using is https://txapps.texas.gov/txapp/txdps/chl/options.do
Can someone tell me if this is the right link? I submitted all of my information if November and I don't know exactly how long it will take for the status to change. If it does change, what will it say?

Re: "Waiting Room"
Yes that's the right link. When it changes it will give you the option to change address, report missing card, etc. I think most of us that just had a status change submitted everything in October, so I'm sure yours is coming up soon.

Re: "Waiting Room"
Looks like they took care of quite a few of us yesterday because the website was updated for me this morning. Wasn't updated as of 3:30pm yesterday. The race is on, who receives their plastic first?!

Re: "Waiting Room"
I did not receive a letter, or send anything extra to them. I just disclosed the charge, disposition, arrest date, and arresting agency on the application. Did it take longer than it needed to because I didn't send a "certified disposition"? Possibly, but they got it done before the 60 day mark.TexasLonghornRN wrote:Just curious if any of you with non disqualifying arrests were sent a letter or asked for court documents for prior arrests, I've never received a request and all my stuff was in October 27. Do they pull up the old records themselves?

Re: "Waiting Room"
Agreed. I was getting worried that something was wrong. I called last Monday and was told it was at the technicians. They said the same thing this Monday. Something told me to call back today just to check. Glad I did, now it's time to wait at the mail box.

10/4 application online
10/8 fingerprints

10/19 mailed paperwork.
I did have a non-disqualifying misdemeanor from years ago. Life lesson: don't be dumb six days after you turn 18.
