Re: FL:Mass shooting at Madden video game event
This is awful. I lived in Jacksonville for 5 years and spent my fair share of time at the Landing. A lot of great memories there. Prayers going out to the victims and their families.

Re: I got busted today...
If you get called out while CC, the chances are extremely high that the person calling you out is a fellow carrier. People that don't carry just don't notice those kinds of things even when it's blatantly obvious to people like us.

Re: Gun 'mistakes' in Books, TV, and Movies - feel free to post your own
Season 2 of the FX show Fargo, I don't remember the episode but it was definitely towards the end of the season, had the bad guy blast a few slugs from a pump shotgun into a hotel room from outside the door. He opens the door and finds the room empty. He starts slowly walking in and slowly cycles ou...

Re: OLD STEEL: 73-Year-Old Outdraws, Kills Teen Thugs In St. Louis
How did these two thugs get a gun? Surely it was the "online loophole", or perhaps the "gun show loophole"? It was a stolen gun. Shocker, I know. I was not aware that criminals didn't follow the law. http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/homeowner-who...

Re: Texas State Fair
The family and I went to the fair this morning as it opened. I was carrying my holstered pistol in my right pocket as I walked up to get wanded. The guy lazily wanded my front waste and left side, never really even wanded my right side. My keys and cell phone were in my left pocket and the wand bee...

Re: Armed Stalker In California Is Thwarted When Relative Fills Him Full Of Lead
Good ending to a bad situation. I have to be honest, my initial thought was that California was a duty to retreat state and the person that prevented the murder could be charged. Turns out that's not the case here.

Re: Can't carry TWO guns
In California, we had to list the pistols on our permit by make, model and serial number, and qualify with each one, even if they were identical. If you had two identical pistols, one listed on your permit and the other not, it was a felony to carry the unlisted one. You could list up to 3, althoug...

If it wasn't for his shirt, this guy could easily be mistaken for a left leaning hippy. The intruder probably thought he had himself a nice little victim. Can't judge a book by it's cover!

Re: Unrestricted Carry For LTC - What Would You Be Willing To Give Up?
I want to see all force of law removed from 30.06. Here's why. My job takes me to hospitals and clinics every day. I leave home and lock my gun in a lock box in my car and go in to the hospital. Leave and go to the next hospital, etc. Now all of them are posted so my gun has to stay in my car the e...

Re: Unrestricted Carry For LTC - What Would You Be Willing To Give Up?
At the risk of sounding like some left coast liberal dimocrat, I'm pretty cool with the laws as they are. I do not OC and nowhere that we ordinarily frequent are off limits to our CC's. Nether our medical nor financial facilities are posted and we don't do school or court house functions. Any place...

Re: Unrestricted Carry For LTC - What Would You Be Willing To Give Up?
I don't think we need to "give up" anything. Requiring more training, for a constitutional right, flies directly in the face of "Shall Not Be Infringed", of which, we already have enough examples. I think that we should be able to legally carry anywhere LEO are permitted to carr...
