I recently switched to a Smith and Wesson 642 and carry 129gr 38 special +P federal hydra shoks and another five on my belt opposite side in a speed strip. I carry iwb. I have made this my primary carry gun for all the reasons revolvers make good carry guns and it’s so lightweight it’s crazy. I shoot it better than my Glock 43 I was previously carrying. I have really enjoyed going back to old school. I am not super tacticool and I just like gear that works. Case Peanut in CV in my front left pocket, spyderco, benchmade, or buck of some sort in my front right, gun 4:00 iwb, phone, keys, wallet, and rats tourniquet is pretty much how I roll. I also carry my Streamlight stylus pro in front right next to my big knife.
I pull out my gun every Saturday or Sunday and give it a wipe down with a slip 2000 cloth then back in the holster it goes. Then I take my knives out I was carrying that week and strop them with a black then green compound and get them back to shaving sharp and call it good. Nothing too fancy I just do what works for me.

Re: Does anybody here still care a revolver?
For the 357 guys what rounds are you packing? I usually use Hornady critical defense 125 gr in my revolvers for defensive loads
As far as weight with the SP101 it kind of balances out to me. For some reason I don’t like a heavy semi but a revovler with some weight just feels right and makes me feel cool like I’ve got my shades on

Re: Does anybody here still care a revolver?
I am looking forward to carrying the SP101 a bunch. I don’t fee outgunned with it and I always carry a reload even with my auto loaders so round count to me is irrelevant. I do however believe in malfunctions so having extra rounds is always a good option.

Does anybody here still carry a revolver?
I know the polymer wonder guns ya the takin the market by storm and for good reason. The size, weight, capacity and the list goes on make them excellent carry pistols. I carry a Glock 43 everyday for those reasons. I recently picked up another revolver. A Ruger SP101 2.25” barrel. I really love this gun. I have a new iwb holster coming from AZULA holsters. If your not familiar with them you should be. They are top quality at a good price and lifetime warranty. Anyways, I am going to start to carry my revolver from time to time and I have found from wearing it around the house that it conceals better and carry’s better than most semi autos. I have always liked the 357 magnum and the revolver cartridges over auto loading ones. The revolver ones just have more mmph and are quite fun to shoot. I really like the double and single action capabilities and a revolver is usually more accurate than an auto. I was just curious on if any of you fine people still carry a wheel gun in the polymer age of today
