I have not called; however, I have emailed the DPS and they confirmed that the hold-up was Travis County. Who does the county background check? Is it the county sheriff's office? I suppose it would do no good to contact the local sheriff.
I have heard it is the county clerk's office. Numerous others have experience delays in your county.

I would give them a call and see if you can help them in anyway. I have heard Travis County is very slow on getting BG info to DPS.
