I have never had a nice leather gunbelt to compare it too. But I can compare it to my 1.5" carhartt Detroit Belt that I've had for about a decade. And the carhartt belt seems to have better materials and better construction and is only $35.00. In other words, at this point I would say that the alien gear belt isn't worth near $60. Maybe I'll change my mind and re-review after a few months if it seems to take the time and abuse better than I expect.

I got a black one was considering getting a brown as well, but having checked out my black one I think I will probably have to pay up for a Beltman next.

I wonder if you just got a bad one? They claim a 7 day test drive on their website. You might try calling them to see if they will send you a replacement.

Good idea, I'll wear it through the weekend and give them a call next week if I don't warm up to it.... especially if I have trouble with the edges coming apart...

Since this post got bumped up to the top again, would you mind giving us an update on the AG belt?
