Re: Laser Site?

I have a crimson trace laserguard on my .380, and the button is on the grip right below the trigger guard. It's a little uncomfortable at first mostly because the pistol is already tiny and I had to change my trigger grip a little to accommodate the guard. I have a light/laser that mounts on the rail on my .40 and it's activated right at the front end of the trigger guard. I love it because I can turn it on with my trigger finger as I'm drawing and pointing the weapon. I usually shoot without it at the range, but I intentionally practice with it and it helps me get on target much quicker when I use it, which tells me that I need to keep practicing without it.

I agree with everyone who has said to use a laser sight and practice plenty with and without it. I especially recommend having a light on your home defense weapon. Some may say that it gives away your location to the bad guy, and to that I would say that you don't have to turn it on if you don't want to. But if it's dark and you may need a flashlight to navigate and see, then it's far better to have the light mounted on your weapon. I have a streamlight TLR with a remote switch mounted on the fore-end of my Mossberg 590.
