Re: I hear misery love company, so here I am.

So a little update.

Apparently I jumped the gun a little bit, When I applied it had not been the full 10 years as I believed. However I was only off by 3 months or so, DPS was awesome about it and agreed to hold on to my paperwork and re process it at a later date so that I would not need to do all the paperwork again. so the date was (Sunday) 12/6 that I needed to wait for, Come Monday 12/7 I called as soon as I was off of work and was pleasantly surprised :hurry: !

12/7/2015, My card went to print and should be here with in 2 weeks. :txflag:

Yep my felony deferred adjudication is exempt after a the ten years from the disposition, I verified with DPS & court 208 before I even began the process. Currently Oct 7th & haven't heard anything back, Just trying to keep on living life like normal lol. Spent the last 5 days in Vegas so that was able to keep my mind plenty busy. :tiphat:

I hear misery love company, so here I am.

:tiphat: Greetings all from Houston, let me start off by saying how much I appreciate this site for having such a great wealth of information and for helping us waiting to keep busy lol.

I began my journey on 8/13 when I submitted my app, and my CHL-100 on 8/21 when I completed my class at CHLNow in Houston, TX. Received conformation of receipt a day later both times… This is when the real waiting began. fast forward 1 month to 9/18, I called and asked for a status update since the online service leaves much to be desired only to be told it was still being reviewed. 9/21 I received an envelope from Texas Department Of Public Safety, Licensing and Registration Service…

And much to my horror it was completely floppy so I knew my Plastic wasn’t in it :grumble . 11years ago I was placed on felony deferred adjudication probation, when I submitted my app online I listed my cause/case & spn numbers hoping that would be enough for them to see I was released early and completed it. Unfortunately they required something from the court with the state seal, 9/22 I was at the downtown court house obtaining the paperwork! I did not want to waste a day and immediately called and asked if i could scan and email them in, So I did and received an email conformation of receipt this morning 9/23.

I was told that it would take roughly 2 weeks to process my supporting documents so in the meantime I try to go on with life and live with the daily battle of refreshing the CHL site hoping for a change in my status lol. :txflag:
