Re: Advice on new AR
I had to go to Gunbroker to buy a Windham Weaponry R16M4LHRFT R16 M4FT Rifle from Tombstone Tactical. They might still have some in stock.
I paid a little more than retail but am happy so far. Of course, it is still being shipped.

Re: I do carry and just wanted to have a very good lawyer
My opinion is that until proven guilty the access to law/courts should be no cost to citizens. And I do not agree with any "Court Costs" either. It is all bull as far as I am concerned. Just another money grab. It's disgusting that Bobby the Robber who never worked an honest day in his li...

Re: How many rounds?
I always carry one reload for every weapon. So, I have 5 rounds on a speed strip for the S&W 642 in my pocket. If carrying the SA 1911, I have one mag in my pocket in addition to the one in the weapon. I always have more in the car with the car gun. ;-) Having spent 6 years in the USMC infantry,...

Re: I went and did it again.
I want to get suggestions for a good pocket holster for my newest acquisition, which will soon become my bug after proving itself at the range. Its nothing special, just a S&W Model 442. I have carried a S&W 642 in a Mika's pocket holster every day for more than 2 years. On most days, due t...

We already tried that. It resulted in a dead mentally challenged goat herder and a nasty trial.bryang wrote:Why don't they just put the Marines on the boarder and let them deal with the drug cartels.![]()

Re: Belt
I have 2 from the Beltman. One is black and narrow for work. The other is tan and 1 1/2 inches IIRC. I love these belts and wear them daily except when I have to suit up for court.

Re: Boy Scouting Events
As a Cub Scout Den Leader, I carry until I arrive on site and then lock it up. I don't feel that I can participate in Boy Scouts as a leader while violating one of their rules, even if it is a rule with which I passionately disagree. I carry everywhere allowed by law except Scouting events.

Re: What did you learn from Ike? Share your Ike experience.
My wife learned that purchasing a generator and more than 50 gallons of gas was not a waste of money. Our neighborhood also gets really dark at night with no electricity. It is a funny thing. Having enough weapons and ammunition really help the stress caused by bumps in the night. Living one county ...

Re: Brady Campaign Desparate & Energized
Finally signed up for both memberships. I don't know why I put it off for so long. I have been rereading this paragraph for a week now. This is sheer poetry. It is the concluding paragraph from DC v. Heller. We are aware of the problem of handgun violence in this country, and we take seriously the c...

Re: City of Schertz - no weapons sign
My local little league also has a no firearms rule except for licensed peace officers. While their rule is not binding on me as a CHL holder, I am also a head coach in the league. Therefore, I am subject to punishment by the league if I violate the rules. So, I unholster in the car. This way I avoid...

Re: tactical shotgun
I am a big shotgun defense fan.
While in the Corps in Security forces, we were trained to alternate 00 buck followed by slug. That way you have a slug ready as the 2nd shot. If you don't need it and want the buck, you just eject it. Just an idea that I use for my own defense.

Re: Are you able to carry on your job site and do you?
No, and no. I work for the State of Texas. And I've noticed that the personnel manual has recently been changed, I suspect in anticipation of another "employer parking lot" bill - it now states "no weapons, concealed or otherwise, on state property, or in vehicles parked on state pro...

Aggghhh, you would have to post that pistol right after I just bought a deer rifle. I own a .45 Springer tuned up and previously owned by HV that I swear by. It is a very sweet daily carry weapon. I love that revolver but I am out of funds as Uncle Sam and the deer rifle reduced my discretionary spe...

Re: Katy Mills Mall & Bass Pro Shops
I was at Gander last night in Beaumont and their sign was similar to the Cabela's sign in that it states at the bottom that it does not apply to CHL holders.
