51% signs
What is the official take on 51% signs? Honestly, ive seen these like 1-2 times, if any bar has them, they arent in plain view at the front door. Are you expected to just understand its a bar and off limits (when you see tons of drunk people pouring in and out), or are you covered if there is no sig...

Re: One in the chamber?
Those who carry without a round in the chamber are typically inexperienced and lack overall gun handling time. I hate to admit it, but you are correct. When I first started carrying I was afraid to have one in the chamber due to the lack of training. But as I learned more about cc and trained more ...

Re: One in the chamber?
I agree, I dont see a point in carrying without one in the chamber, what really made me wonder if I was the minority that felt this way was a movie I was watching last night. In this scene a secret service officer draws out of his holster... then racks the slide... and I was thinking "huh?"...

One in the chamber?
What do you all think about carrying with one in the chamber? I always said I would, but... Makes me nervous. Thoughts? I carry a glock 43, it would be almost impossible to engage the safety without meaning to, what about if you tripped or something and landed right on the gun?

Re: Have You Changed Out Your Glock Guide Rod?
I upgraded both my and my wife's G26 Gen 4s with tungsten guide rods from Glockstore.com. After about 100 rounds through mine, I began having FTF and FTE. After fiddling with it at the range that day, it got to where I could not even chamber a round and the slide would not return to battery. I kept...

Re: Have You Changed Out Your Glock Guide Rod?
I changed out the glock 43 guide rod, using one from "theglockstore.com" its a tungston guide rod for about 90 bucks. First thing I noticed is that the recoil was reduced alot, you could get shots off much faster. Other thing I noticed, the accuracy was much worse. I sent it back, determin...

Re: Thinking of Getting an FFL
I just basically wanted it to skip the middle man from gunbroker.com and then I thought maybe I could make afew dollars in the process um, no. Let me explain...there are generally two kinds of guns on gunbroker: Guns that nobody wants, and guns that everybody wants. The first kind are easy to get a...

Re: school zones, signs size-- worth it to test the boundaries?
Oh yeah and Dr. Wayne...welcome to the forum. My BIL is an ER doctor in NY who got his CHL while finishing medical school and his residency here in Texas. Since he is an ER doc he has experience treating gunshot wounds, but chooses to carry anyway, or perhaps because of this. He also has a very har...

school zones, signs size-- worth it to test the boundaries?
I recently took a CHL class, and didnt really understand one point. At the time, I was thinking, "no brainer, dont go anywhere near a school (middle school, high school) carrying." I'm more curious though now. I remember my instructor saying technically you just cant go inside the building...
