I thought that only happened to cyclists. Welcome to the I don't like you because you're breathing my air club. I ride either on the shoulder or as far to the right as possible, i.e. about 12 inches from the side of the road. There are those who believe if you're not in a cage, cyclists term for cars, then you have no rights at all. I was discussing this one time with an anti cyclist who said I should not have access to the roads because cyclists do not pay taxes for road repairs. I told him that one Texas law says otherwise, cyclists have as much right to the road as everyone else, and two I do pay those taxes because I have a truck and my wife has a car. I'm also a homeowner and I'm sure some of the county and city taxes I pay do cover road maintenance/repair.
Its your rude counterparts that give ya a bad name. I ran into a LOOOOOONNNGGG stack of cyclists riding 2 abreast a few weeks ago.

I coulda sworn I read something in the code about riding as to to as the right hand edge of the roadway as practical.

I used to ride, and always tried to stay out of the way and not interfere with traffic. As a driver, I appreciate those of you who do it right. ;-)

Sheriff came out and took a report after I said that I do want to press charges. Don't expect much to be done, but did want to start a paper trail.

Were you on the easement? How did he approach you, what was said by both of you prior to him making that statement? If you stood up with some type of tool and threatened to beat him with it, his statement would not be out of line, would it?
