This was in response to all the cities that immediately put up 30.06 signs on every government building in sight.
There was no bill that said that. There was a provision later added in 30.06 about goovernment places, but not about courtrooms. The law specifically includes courtrooms and offices utilized by the courts.

Schools and courtrooms don't NEED 30.06 signs. ;-)

As far as the zoo, I don't know who actually owns it.

Texas Penal Code §46.03. Places weapons prohibited.

(a) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally,
knowingly, or recklessly possesses or goes with a firearm, illegal
knife, club, or prohibited weapon listed in Section 46.05(a):


(3) on the premises of any government court or offices
utilized by the court
, unless pursuant to written regulations or
written authorization of the court;


The new Courthouse has offices utilized by the courts. Carry there is illegal.
