Re: Farmer's Branch officer charged with murder
Not enough facts yet but if a LEO is 24/7 what was he supposed to do? Not saying shooting was the answer unless he was in fear for his life. Also as noted in one of the pieces the definition of night was altered because of daylight savings time. Had the altercation happened one day earlier it would...

Re: "No worries"
When I read the original post I was thinking oh it's not a big deal. Those are just common phrases, but then I remembered... "lookit". I only know one person and apparently his whole family that say this phrase, but it irritates me to no end.

Re: My letter to City Council
Also, I think they need to make it clear that you do still need a license for open carry. I have heard multiple people say 'oh I was going to get my CHL, but now that open carry has passed I don't have to'

Re: Is "failure to conceal" still a thing once open carry starts?
Forward console-mounted holsters in pickups or SUVs are an example of a popular holster that will still be unlawful even after Jan. 1st. I hope I'm overly concerned, but I've talked to a lot of folks who prefer to remove their handgun from a belt holster when they get into their vehicle. The gun ha...

Re: Texas State Fair
Just wanted to chime in here. I carried at the fair this past weekend. I was admittedly a little anxious about walking in because I've only had my CHL for about a month so this was the most public place and the longest amount of time I've had my firearm on me. I was planning to just quietly show my ...

Re: Nerdy 14 year old brings homemade clock to school and is arrested
http://blogs.artvoice.com/techvoice/2015/09/17/reverse-engineering-ahmed-mohameds-clock-and-ourselves/ After seeing this photo and reading the analysis in the article I'm convinced the kid didn't invent or build anything. He took an old Micronta digital clock apart and put it in a case to hide that...
