If you shoot you are shooting to stop the actions of the aggressor. I've never seen handgun ammo with rubber bullets and if there is such a loading the size of the bullet would be so small and light as to have little or no effect in pain compliance. Shotgun ammo and teargas guns have rubber bullets that will cause pain compliance from the blunt force trauma they cause. These types of ammunition are not, I repeat, not non lethal, people have been killed with them the same as with conventional lead bullets.

Leave the rubber bullets, blanks, and less lethal munitions to the riot police. Carry OC, and/or a taser for a less lethal option and keep the handgun for serious business.
