I had a gun stolen 20 years ago and about five years after the burglary I got a call from a detective that they had recovered my gun in a drug bust did I want it back. I told hem yes and he said i would have to go to J.P. court to get it back. I went with him to court and the guy who's home was raided (no drugs just a ton of stolen goods) was there his story was basically, "I lent this woman some money she gave me the gun as collateral." Long story short I got the gun back and the Mope got off Scott free. Hearings are not only an AZ thing.
