Good info there Flintknapper. We have to remember though, Wolff is in the business of selling springs, and darn good ones as well. ;-)

Studies have shown coil springs weaken through cycles not through compression, metal fatigue is the enemy of a coil spring more than simple loading. A leaf spring, that's a spring of a different color! The answer to Evilsmirf's question IMHO is no - - - but if you are concerned about it, change your springs periodically they are cheap and easy to replace.
