Re: Private ranges near Ft. Worth?

Suppressors are ok, but select/full auto isn't allowed.

Re: Private ranges near Ft. Worth?

Just for a brief overview of PCSC:

Open 7 days a week, sunrise to sunset. Accessed by members via keyed entrance gate.

Range A - 25 yrd pistol & 50 yrd rifle
Range B - 50 & 100 yrd rifle
Range C - 200 & 250 yrd rifle
Range D - Skeet/Trap field with automatic throwers
Range E - Two manual clay throwers
Range F - 7 & 15 yrd Pistol and Rimfire rifle

Ranges A-C & F have covered concrete shooting positions with tables.

As far as my experience out there goes, its been great. You can draw from a holster so long as you're not standing on concrete, which means that either you have to be alone on the range, or everyone on the range has to agree to move to shooting position forward. I've never really had a problem with this, as its rare that there are too many people out there at any one time. Even better if you can go out on a weekday, then you're almost guaranteed to have the place to yourself. Just recently we've done some improvements to both rifle ranges, to include bringing the 50 yrd target holders back to the 100 yrd range. Additionally new things such as improved walking paths to the target stands, and drainage, as well as putting down new rock throughout the club in the driveways and parking areas have been addressed. On-site restrooms have been a big hit with the wife (members work pretty hard to keep them clean and presentable). The club holds monthly new member orientations on the first Saturday of the month, as well holding them on those Saturdays that we have a gun/trade show at the club.

There are a lot of events and clubs that use the facilities, one of the more popular being the Service Rifle Matches. Additionally, there is at least one, possibly two CHL instructors that are members and use the range for the shooting portion of the class.

Not sure what initiation fee is anymore (I think it'd $70 but don't hold me to it), but dues are $70/year, with a guest membership being an additional $40. This allows you to bring friends/family not covered under your primary membership (basically anyone in your household to include children up to 17 years old).

If anyone is interested in going out to see the club and possibly do a little shooting feel free to PM me. So long as we can make the schedules work I'd be more than happy to host anyone wanting to check it out.
