Perhaps someone with more time on their hands and talent in their brain than me can make a series of "What if" videos.

Simulate or stage similar shootings and then run the scenario again where a few CHLs are present. Make it realistic. Even if people say "this is made up", MANY people will probably get the essence of the video that a CHL could at least deter or maybe even prevent more deaths.

All lives matter (contrary to what the Black Lives Matter group believes), but if you cant take 14 dead down to 4, there are 10 families that would be forever in your debt. That's 10 lives saved, many wounded saved, and then all of the families and friends who would be negatively affected by them. You'd positively affect hundreds or even thousands of people.

So make a video of a guy in Oregon shooting up a room and then two CHL guys (or girls) stand up and take him out. Make a video of two muslims shooting up the office party and some secretary ends up saving the rest of the people with her gun. Make a video of terrorists walking down the streets of Paris... Show a guy shooting up a Luby's. Maybe sometimes the CHL doesn't hit anything. Maybe they just deter the shooter. Maybe they even get shot themselves. But on the whole, the results should show that the CHL SAVES LIVES.
There is a place in Waco with something similar to what you are describing. It is firearm simulation training and is used by many of the local police forces and open to the public as well. They use real Glock 19's and AR15's modified to run off air with a laser in the barrel to shoot scenarios on a projector screen. I go once a month and feel it is very good training. It will open your eyes to what you are made of and what is legal to do and not do in various situations. I'm not affiliated with them in any way but their website is h5tactical.com. Anybody interested in going should probably call ahead to make an appointment, especially on the weekends.

It's not for study purposes as you are suggesting but you will see that a good guy with a gun stops a bad guy with a gun.
I think Gander Mtn has that same simulator. It's booked solid through December. They can change "shoot/no shoot" scenarios. Actually, that training might be good. I was talking more about filiming a documentary type movie and show "here's what happened" and "here's our realistic version of what might have happened if someone had a gun" and then show at the end of the film the body count...the real count and then our hypothetical count. Again, there WILL be dead bodies likely! But maybe there'd be fewer. We know the liberal media wouldn't dare post the "man with gun saves lives of many."

Really. He didn't even mention the shoulder thing that goes up!

Gotta watch those deadly bullet buttons.

Well, it wasn't as bad as I expected. Not sure what the "auto button" thing is he was talking about. I've been looking all morning for mine and can't find it. Of course, guys spend years looking for the elusive "fun button" on women and sometimes can't ever find it either.

I'm sure other people than myself are also tired of hearing about how Sean Hannity is a "Marksman". Well, last night he and the NYPD detective "Bo" were on and BOTH were talking about changing "clips" in their guns. Made my skin crawl.

But as for news guys, this wasn't so bad. I remember reading in the paper in 1990 about the reporting seeing the F-18 take off with its "thruster-boosters". At least this guy kind of tried to point out that it isn't an assault rifle in its native state!! Kudos to him for that!

Finally, if these thugs would watch a few gun videos on YouTube they'd really crap themselves. Watch the video where Jerry keeps up with a guy with a slide fire stock. I think they clocked in around 450 rpm. Who needs full auto when you can legally get a Geissele 3-gun trigger or slide fire stock? Ohhhh what the liberals don't know!

Re: Authorities Respond to Report of ’20 Victim Shooting’ Incident in San Bernardino: Fire Dept.

If only the liberals REALLY knew about gun availability they'd crap themselves.

We are a Class 3 dealer and I've had at least a dozen people come in our store and tell me silencers were illegal. Uh, ya. That's why they're in my display case with a price tag.

I also had a "kid" (looked under 21) ask me for a "HK MP5K". I said, are you really interested in buying one? He said yes. So I decided to look to see if they had a semi auto version. Apparently all the MP5s are full auto only in current production. I might be wrong, but that was according to HKs website. So I told him "no". But if he found one on Gunbroker I'd be happy to transfer it. And if he found a transferrable full auto, I could handle that too...if he had the (probably) $15,000 to buy it. But how do I know he didn't just sell his internet company for $100mm?

So, here's the irony for the left:

These "assault weapons" are just semi auto rifles. They are similar to semi-auto shotguns or semi-auto hunting rifles, just with more ammo typically. They are not full auto like you'd like us to believe. So, you're an idiot for calling them "assault weapons".

BUT, (once they accept that) basically anyone who can buy a 22LR for $250 is also qualified (barring state restrictions) to buy a TRUE ASSAULT WEAPON. They can buy the transferrable full auto M16 for $18,000 and a 4 month wait. I don't believe there is any extra scrutiny past what NICS would pop. I might be wrong.

AND, with that "non-assault weapon" that they are really using, the left would crap if they knew that a novice machinist could make that $500 cheapy AR into a full auto "assault weapon" in about an hour and with a few dollars worth of bar stock.

Background checks: we basically do have universal background checks. every pawn shop and ffl has to use it. sure there is the "gunshow loophole" and Armslist. But people who are intent on committing crimes are not going to be deterred by this. That's just insanity. Criminalizing cocaine hasn't exactly kept it out of the hand of criminals and movie stars, has it?

Finally, if taking guns away to end gun violence worked, then why not use the same mentality on a national level. Surely if we just disarmed and disbanded our military, it would make us safer as a nation. Fewer arms = greater safety, right? Duh. Strong military = better national defense. Armed citizen = better personal defense.

Of course, these are the same people who run up the national credit card, max it out, and then ask for a credit line increase. No normal consumer could get away with that. That's government logic for you.

K.Mooneyham wrote:After reading through the posts on here, I will say this. I heard the police briefing just a bit ago. The spokesman (the Chief?) said that police response time was only 4 minutes from the first 9-1-1 call. That sounds like a very decent response time, and I believe the police did their utmost to get there in an expedient manner. Also, they were able to track and end those killers without any additional injury or death to folks living there, to the best of my knowledge. However, the old expression held as true as it could in this case: "when seconds count, the police are only minutes away". That is no dig at the police in the slightest; they did their best. However, they simply cannot be everywhere trouble may happen, it's impossible. The best defense is an armed defense by the citizenry. This was a tragically horrible event, I am glad the murderers were stopped, but I wish that someone had been able to do something when the whole thing started. I really do feel bad for the families and friends of those lost and injured.
Everything you said. Times two.

I heard the whole shooting was over in 30 seconds. It's not possible to have the cops respond that fast. Not even if they were inspired by Barbara Boxer or Nancy Pelosi. The ONLY thing that would have stopped that would be someone at the scene with a gun. In a sad sort of way, we can blame CA legislature for these deaths. Maybe if they made a law restricting mags to just 5 rounds, this tragedy wouldn't have happened.

Re: Authorities Respond to Report of ’20 Victim Shooting’ Incident in San Bernardino: Fire Dept.

I think this is another moon landing. Not sure the motivation, but clearly much of this is faked. Want proof?

1. They said the shooter had a muslim name. Islam is the religion of peace. No muslim would do this. Didn't happen.
2. News reports said they used AKs. 10+ round mags are illegal in California. Couldn't have had AKs.
3. CA has strict gun laws. We all know strict gun laws save lives. Ergo, something like this couldn't have happened in CA. Likewise, France has extremely strict gun laws and we all know gun violence is inversely proportional to the amount of gun laws. More gun laws = fewer gun deaths.
4. Donald Trump, Fox, and the GOP are notorious for fabricating stories to make democrats look bad such as deleting Hillary's emails, tricking Obama into calling ISIS the JV, etc. Anyone seen Bush recently? Maybe we can just blame him.
5. ISIS is contained.

Keep watching. This story will unravel.
