Perhaps for TAM's issue, you could add an option to excluded specific businesses from the proximity warning. The user would need to do this for each individual business, and I would presume that list would be kept locally on his phone/tablet. Might even be as simple as an option in the app settings...

I use an alien gear OWB for my glock 43. Love it. It's so comfortable and not noticeable at all. I carry OWB but still concealed.

I did an "update" (iphone 5c) and it asked about notifications (selected no) then it asked about using GPS (selected no) and the program closed. Tried several times with the same result. Finally allowed both choices and the program loads. Went into settings and turned off the notification...

I'd say you're in the clear to carry. Just stay concealed. If TABC hasn't given them a 51% license notice, then you're perfectly fine. Also if your friend is not an authoritative person, I don't think him informing you of this law he thinks is correct is verbal notice.

Pawpaw, No it's not necessary to run the app at least once after your phone restarts. The only requirement is that you at least run the app once ever (and of course, to keep your app installed on your phone). I think that was an issue on the android app at one point, but it has since been resolved. ...
