I agree the initial cost may be prohibitive for some folks, but I am not buying the idea that spending 8 to 10 hours on classroom and range training is too much of a time-commitment. Capital B, Capital S! A license to carry a concealed handgun is not something to be taken lightly. A person gets lic...

Re: understood

...sometimes it's not so clear who is the good guy and who is the bad guy. ... The world today is not so black and white as it used to be. Uh, sorry, disagree. No claim of self-defense has been made, it's pretty clear from the police statements that they believe Mark killed David. Bad guy/good guy ...

I wonder what kind of Psychological damage one would sustain after having to defend oneself with deadly force, it's hard enough on a police officer and they have professional training, I can't imagine what it'd be like for a civilian.....

I'm glad only the bad guys got hurt.

I lived in TX for one year in Lewisville. MN is completly different. The majority of the cities are very quiet and not crime ridden, there are maybe 1 or 2 places throughout the entire metropolitan area that are "crimeridden" and they are small, I never go there, or if I did have to go the...

my BF and I have actually had this discussion about someone going nuts and trying to shoot it up at a gun range, and I think that would be just as effective a suicide mission as actually just putting the gun to your head, I firmly believe that within the first gun shot the person going nuts would be...

Re: I'm so confused.

And frustrated at the same time. This woman I'm currently dating does not see the reason why I conceal carry. Pretty much all she sees is guns takes lifes. I've already told her that this is something I will do as a last resort to save a life. She just can't seem to understand. I just can't w...

I highly recommend shooting with at least one eye open! LOL! I'm still fairly new to shooting, as I shot pistol for the first time only a little over a year ago. I questioned my BF as to why it was easier for me being a right handed to aim with my left eye, he said he didn't know, but if it...
