Thanks for the PX4 STORM recommendation. I LOVE my rotating barreled Stoeger 8000 Cougar setup.
But if I get another rotating barreled pistol, I'm saving mony for the innovative Slovakian new Grand Power K100 P1.
Thanks

Guys,
I realize that Any machine could possible experience an anomaly and have and jam. I just titled my initial post subject with the words "jam-proof" to get a consensus of which did it realively Infrequently (rarely)after firing many hundreds of times....that you'd have No doubt trusting your life with them in a self defence critical situation.
If we have't exhausted all the candidates out there yet....please keep your suggestions as CHL users, please!?

My 10th gun is a 6 1/2" barrel .44 magnum "Dirty Harry Special".
I only carry it in cool weather in a cross shoulder holster rig.
But since Texas is usually not "cool" for very long, it sees less use the my full size, compact and subcompact semi-autos....but yes, it is awesomely accurate!
And I for one take very frequent good care, cleaning and lubing of all my guns. It's my fun pass-time in between trips to the range.

I am a fan of .40 cal. for extra stopping power with moderate recoil (therefor don't own any 9's or .45s.)
All my 9 autoloaders are .40 cal., although I'm sure the 17 is good.
But I'm setup to reload only .40 brass.
After stressing my credit cards so much, and having chosen unique interesting models of many countries, I feel like my chosen 9 pistols are "enough" for a good while.
But the only 9mm I'm planning on buying in a couple months when importation begins on them, will be the cool Grand Power K100 P1., with a rotating barrel similar(but somewhat different) than my Stoeger 8000 Cougar.

Liberty,
I'm not saying that even Glock hasn't made a One in maybe 300,000 imperfect pistol with problems.
But there are so tested daily and jamming complaints are so hard to find, that it qualifies(after I test mine with many ammo bullet weight and powder grain combinations by different ammo makers to know....I will think the odds are that it is jam-proof.
So that's the answer I'm hoping from "extensive users"(Many, Many rounds of various types, makers, grain weights and loads) .
What other autoloader qualifies definitely......so I may be a concensus, please.
thanks

boredelmo,
I own a CZ75B that after a couple hundred break in firings has had not a single problem....but not enough rounds to truly tell(although I suspect it will always be problem free) And I've only tried the same type and grained ammo from 2 makers in it....not enough to tell.
But I'm mainly talking about easier concealable autoloaders. I've heard more than a few jam/ejection failure problems with their RAMI compact model. I personally would not put it in the same catagory as compact, subcompact Glocks. I would not feel comfortable betting my life on that model concealable CZ.

What is the most jam-proof, most reliable semi-auto pistol ?
I know Glocks have the reputation of being incredably reliable, No
Matter what type, make or grain of ammo you use.
Many "individual pistols" of most makers would work flawlessly for that individual weapon, but not all the ones manufactured by that maker might necessarily have that "luck" or reputation for the breed (and make the same gun and/or model that is ammo sensitive and jams now and then for that certain buyers now and then).
Would you guys agree?
And if so, which other makes of pistols, if any, are known for being non-jamming, please?
I'm looking for as many 1st hand user responsence as I can get...to try to get a consensus..........And is depended on thousands of rounds of multiple ammo makes and grains having been pumped through to give an answer. (Not just users having tried only a couple hundred rounds of similar types)
thanks
