Re: Requirement to Present CHL @ Time Of ID Request by Officer
All good responses, that why i asked. I am not aware of all the different scenarios so this is enlightnening. I have a company car i take home and since I cant carry at work, cant carpool, and very rarely have any employees with me I dont come across these issues. Family wise they all know and all have their own guns but no chl's. Although I do know all about getting pulled over for no reason but to get checked out. Its amazing that in my 4wd dodge i have been stopped 3 times in over 8 years but at least 6-7 times a year in my mustang (no, not for speeding). Always get let go with some lame excuse once they see an old guy behind the tint. I have actually had Pearland and HPD walk up and walk away without saying so much as "howdy".

Just curious but why would you have people in your car that you dont want to know? I cant remember ever having a rider I wanted it hidden from. If it is that big a deal they can take their own car. Also, if you have riders you want it kept secret from then wouldnt you drive more carefully, signaling and such? I know things happen but errors on your part can be minimalized.
