Re: CHL & Your Church

The last few Sundays, after church, the girls keep asking if Open Carry is in effect yet because they want to show each other something or another. I take spare holsters I don't use and ammo I mark "RANGE USE ONLY" to new CHLs at church so they can't use cost of ammo as an excuse to not practice.

Churches aren't posted, half the congregation would change churches if anyone stuck a big sign out front. Some Preachers carry that visit our church, the current pastor doesn't, half the deacons have CHLs, more and more of the married ladies do.

1 Thessalonians 4:11 http://biblehub.com/1_thessalonians/4-11.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

Job 34:29 (Not in context, but accurate and true statement, concealed is concealed)
When He keeps quiet, who then can condemn?...
No one "asks" ... there is no 30.06 sign. I never walked into a Wal-Mart and asked if it was "OK" to protect myself & my family.

"not feeling it necessary"

Most people without a fire extinguisher don't feel one is necessary.... Usually, they are correct.
Some areas are at higher risk for fire, and those areas often are required to have Fire extinguishers, but every house has a kitchen and CAN have a fire, so the real question is not "is it necessary?" but the better question is "why not?" (have a fire extinguisher)
.

Some Churches are at a higher risk of needing defense depending on location, etc but every church has a risk. Church Shootings do not include every violent act at churches, but it's a place to start https://www.google.com/search?q=list+of ... 8&oe=utf-8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

List of shootings stabbings suicide and other deadly force incidents at church
http://www.carlchinn.com/Deadly_Force_Incidents.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Again, the question should not be "is it necessary?" It probably isn't ... but rather the better question should be ... why not? (carry protection from potential violence)

Is it necessary that I carry my gun fishing? probably not ... but why not? Years ago a guy fishing was shot and killed at a County park... ... so there's that ... So ... Why not?

Peace Be still, be quiet, mind my own business, and carry. per my understanding of 1 Thessalonians 4:11 :mrgreen:
