I'm not a woman, so I can't claim to have the right answer for you, but having taken the DTI Basic/Intermediate Defensive Handgun course last March in Victoria, I highly recommend it. We didn't have to worry about testosterone getting out of control in our class, as the Basic/Intermediate course was taught by Vicki, John's wife. Vicki is an outstanding instructor in her own right, and the author of several books on teaching women to shoot.B3XD wrote:Do any of you have experience with either DTI's (John Farnham) Basic/Intermediate Defensive Handgun course or Gabe Suarez[s Close Rannge Gunfighting as taught by Glenn Mathews? Both are coming up shortly around this area. I would like to take one but don't know enough about the people involved to make a decision. While I agree intellectually with some of the points made by Suarez concerning "getting off the x" , etc., I find the testosterone a bit difficult to take at this stage of my life. Is there that much differce in what they teach?
Which would you take and why
* BTW, I did check to assure that I would meet the prerequisites for the CRG course"
Hope this helps,
