Ok, just read the Gun Free School Zone Act 1990... looks like I will be paying for that overpriced piece of plastic. It looks to me that the only time that law has been enforced was in cases where the people weren't just normal law abiding citizens driving through a school zone. But not worth the risk.

I just rather wait, I travel to Ohio on a regular, and Texas chl is a no go. I guess the main reason to wait is I dont feel the Texas chl is worth the money, I have a Fl cwp, and Az. both of those together cost less than a Tx chl. Don't get me wrong I plan on getting a Tx Chl. Just want to wait. What liability in gun free zones? I didn't follow that part.

Thank y'all for the information! I have only been place on hold once, but it was some time ago. I am planning on getting my Texas Chl after all the new laws pass, but thanks again guys.

Buying a firearm with a Non resident CWP
Hey guys, I have an Arizona Non-resident CWP, and am wondering if the bypass on call to FBI is the same as Texas CHLs. Thanks in advance.
