I guess I am a heretic. I carry a .38 Police Posotive, almost never any reloads. I like the simplicity, light weight and accuracy.

Someone mentioned busting some clays in the other thread. Is that something on the itinerary? I am off that weekend and considering coming down. I've also didn't know Rudy's had breakfast and really really like tacos of all kinds with rare exception. Whether or not there will be any clay busting on...

Most ammo is made to give a standard recoil impulse, so that it will operate in most firearms, talking handguns here. Heavier bullets are slower. Most problems are with bullet shape and overall cartridge length. A bullet with a flat nose may not feed properly if your feed ramp is not designed for it...

Fired, empty cases will work just as well as live rounds for checking this, and are safer.
