It is actually the date deferred adjudication was ENTERED, which is the date probation began, that the 10 year wait period begins. So if probation began April 2006, they would be eligible April 2016.

Just to clear up a misunderstanding when it comes to the 10 year wait time after a qualifying felony deferred adjudiction regarding eligibility for a Texas LTC: The 10 year clock begins on the date deferred adjudication was ENTERED, which is the date probation began.
