Re: My State Fair experience

If someone asks if I have any weapons, I'm going to ask them if they are a LEO, and when they say "no", I'm going to reply "no" to their question under the assumption that they mean "illegal" weapons. None of their business otherwise. Telling a non-LEO that I'm carryin...

My State Fair experience

After reading about some of the negative experiences of some other CHL holders, I thought I would share my rather uneventful experience at the Fair. My wife and I, along with my sister and her husband, arrived at the fairgrounds at about 3:00 on Sunday. We entered throught the Pan-Am gate on the Nor...

Re: CAMPUS CARRY: TIME CRITICAL ACTION ITEM!

HB 2730 just passed, without Driver's amendment. Where does that leave us for Campus Carry? Can it still happen? If so, how?

Re: Urgent Action Items: Parking lots & campus-carry

PLEASE do not contact Senator Duncan about campus-carry! Chas. Charles, I understand there may be some backroom politicking involved here, but could you please expand on why constituants sould not be writing this Senator about his position? I'd also like to know...if that is possible. :headscratch ...

Re: Campus-Carry Bills Filed Today

While I am all for concealed carry on campus, I have a question regarding this bill. I noticed the bill also includes private universities. Shouldn't a private university have the right to post a 30.06 sign, just like a private business does now? Don't get me wrong, I'm a staunch supporter of the 2...

Re: Soccer Dad - Lubbock - Update

I know one of the attornies in the DA's office. He told me a couple of details that weren't in the news. Apparently, the coach's husband also took a swing at the dad after he shoved him into the bleachers. That is when he pulled out the gun. While he was being monumentally stupid, I don't think the ...

Re: Hey runners...

I usually carry either my Bersa .380 or Kel-Tec P-3AT in a Smartcarry holster. It's comfortable, and doesn't move around on me.

Re: Alcohol Permit Carry ??'s

Zach,

I live in Lubbock. Are you at Caprock or Llano? That's awesome that the owner actually encouraged you to carry!

One of these days, my wife and I will have to come out there and sample your goods. Maybe we can even go out to the range sometime.

Stay safe and take care.

Re: SmartCarry

The first time I saw this I thought you folks were joking. This thing really exists!!! It seems this would get uncomfortable. I'm not sure I would want my weapon pressing on my "gun" all day long. Anyone here used one of these for any length of time yet? Isn't sitting down a challenge wit...

Re: Reloading for Dummies

Buy and read "The ABC's of Reloading." It shows you all the basics and will help you figure out what equipment you will need.

Re: Lubbock area group

I was surprised when I went by and found that they were closed. That is very unusual. I didn't think that they usually close when they have a CHL class, but judging from the parking lot, it must have been a very large class. I guess we'll just have to plan to go another time. Now that the weather is...

So Saturday, March 8 at 2:00 at Patriot Firearms.
