Yes, if the house passes the Senate's campus carry bill, Greg gets to sign it. If the Senate passes the House's open carry bill, Greg gets to sign it. If either chamber amends the bills, then there would need to be a concurrence vote, and if the chambers cant concur then there would be a conference committee formed to hammer out the differences -- if I understand everything correctly.

Yay! Movement on both campus and open today? I'm floored. Let's see if it makes any real difference for us. I hope so!!

I'd rather be able to carry more places legally than advertise to people that I'm carrying... That's just me though. Campus carry and HB308 mean worlds more to me than open carry. Would open carry be nice? Yeah. Should we be able to open carry? Yeah. Should I be legally disarmed on a public state owned college campus in Texas? No.

Pay no attention to logic.

They amaze me. School shootings specifically show how criminals ignore gun free zones such as college campuses. I have no brain cells in my head that can put 2 and 2 together where victims of that kind of event would protest this bill. Maybe I'm just missing something...

I am truly losing faith in campus carry passing in this legislature. There's only a month left and I am afraid campus carry and open carry will get lost in the craziness of the last third of the session. I sincerely hope I am wrong.
