Re: More "Compromise"

Omnibus bill passed Congress. Waiting Trumps signature. He's threatening veto, but I don't think that's likely.

In the Senate, Cornyn voted for, Cruz voted against. My local Rep, Ratcliffe, voted against.

Seems to me that Cornyn needs to be replaced.

John Lott says we should be concerned.
The millions of Americans who believe in the [2nd] amendment and who believe in our right to self-defense and to defend our families now have reason to be concerned.

“The adults know that we’re cleaning up their mess,” says Cameron Kasky, an 11th-grader at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, who started the #NeverAgain movement to curb gun violence three weeks earlier in his living room. “It’s like they’re saying, ‘I’m sorry I made this mess,’” adds buzzcut senior Emma González...

More "Compromise"

Republicans’ Omnibus Bill: More Background Check Gun Laws, No Concealed Carry Reciprocity
"Fix NICS" included in Republican omnibus bill; reciprocity is not included. No big surprise, I suppose. At least now it's officially out there.

I think I'll invent a new term for this kind of situation: "unilateral compromise."
