Note that SECTION 22 of HB910 amends Govt Code 411.188(b)(2) to include "..handgun use and safety, including use of restraint holsters and methods to ensure the secure carrying of openly carried handguns;". So the class instructors will be required to introduce the use and methods of the secure carrying with restraint holsters.The Wall wrote:So far from what I've read it doesn't get any more specific than shoulder holster and belt holster. Pretty straight forward as far as I can tell. It doesn't say the belt has to be around your waist either. So I guess you could open carry a ankle holster as long as it was attached using a belt. I think if using reason one would assume a belt goes around your waist. I think the important part is it has to be in a holster. No lanyard carry allowed.
