Just got back from a vacation with the family from the Gulf Coast, Orange Beach, AL. I carried without incident through LA, MS, AL, and briefly in FL. I checked this site http://www.handgunlaw.us/ for reciprocal agreements and did a little reading about each state's prohibited places. I kept a close eye for any signs that might restrict carry...funny thing is, once I left Texas, I couldn't even find the ever popular "gun buster" sign. In fact, down on the coast, I don't think I saw any reference to firearms at all when entering businesses. Only time I was unarmed was at the beach and the Pensacola Naval Air Station.

Great trip, CHL friendly states with reciprocal agreements, great beaches, family atmosphere at Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area, and good 'ole Southern Hospitality.
